The Mark E debut album will be released this May on spectral sounds. It was originally intended to be released on MERC, but when Ghostly contacted me about the Matthew Dear remix I tested the water by sending it to Sam at Ghostly and we talked and discussed about its release with them. And so the deal was done. Thats not to say there will be no more MERC releases, far from it, I have plenty of ideas for future MERC music, sit tight, more soon.
And so I have done this ” stonebreakin ” mix in preparation for the LP release, hope you enjoy:
Currently working on a remix for Luke Solomon for the re-launch of classic records. Completed remix for Agoria, Farout Records & Dogmatik records, look out for these coming out soon. Mark E’s debut album has been signed to Ghostly International / Spectral, released May 2011.
Alot of people asking about ” Call Me”, this will be the next MERC release, just waiting on some remixes then it will be out, hopefully april, but this could change.
Thanks to everyone who supported MERC in 2010, had a very good first full year. Lots of new stuff happening MERCwise in 2011, next release should be CALL ME by Mark E,.
Also big thanks to oli & Ali @ WARM who have been putting on some fantastic parties and looking after all gigs etc…….. and more to come in 2011.
Album as good as finished, extremely happy with it, a little taster of ” Got to get me there”…

New Boy Chicago Damn brings his debut release via MERC this Autumn. He may be the new boy on MERC but the quality is not compromised here at all, with 2 slammin peak time chuggers these deep house techno belters have been part of Mark E’s sets for the last month. Deep Jungle bongo chants crossed with looped up ethnic weirdness. essential! Check the Chicago Damn blog here: http://chicagodamn.blogspot.com/

Played the ” come dancing ” stage at Bestival on the opening Thursday, expecting a sedate warm up evening turned into a full on rave, thanks to all that caught me, wow it was intense! loved it. Also caught hot chip, richie hawtin, from what i can remember, very messy!
Also played at a last minute MTV party at a Race Course in Paris last tuesday, with breakbot before me slammin the french underground sound, it was pretty daunting coming on after him, but went pretty well in the end. Managed to miss my flight back early wednesday, so a day round CDG terminal 1 was in store, what a cool airport, a cross between 2001 a space odyssey and star wars.
And not forgetting the STOP MAKING SENSE FESTIVAL, ooph, that was a great weekend, again thanks to everyone who came to listen to my 2 sets, and big hello to all i met, come make yourself known. The WARM boat party was crazy, really had a great day!
Getting excited about the weekend coming up, Im Djing at the Electric Minds Loft party this Saturday In trendy Shoreditch, London.
